Through Loss Comes Power
Losing someone hurts. There's no better phrase, way of saying or thinking about it, no way of trying to find the right words to fix such a deep feeling. Losing someone hurts, but let's think about the power it brings.
As it may be inevitable, or come at times when you least expect it, the loss of someone can affect you in the most challenging of ways. And dealing with this loss can feel like forever, a forever feeling of emptiness and sorrow. A forever view of darkness and shadows. A forever hole in what is supposed to be one of your strongest muscles. But with loss comes power.
The power to feel and the power to think. The power to remember such vivid memories and the power to keep those closest to your heart. The power to cry and the power to laugh, though you wish that person could experience this power with you.
The power to feel so deeply, that it hurts at the most random times. These feelings come and go, so unpredicted and out of the blue. But to feel so deep means to feel like you are living. You are living and breathing, and trying your hardest every single day. The power to live and the power to breathe.
The power to play and the power to fight. To fight for those who can longer fight for themselves. To fight for yourself, because you are just as important as anything else on this Earth. Because you are never alone.
The inevitable power that comes from loss may seem sorrowful and downhearted. But the powers that be allow you to be your true authentic self, and this power will remain with you, as your angel from above guides you, loves you, and watches you use your powers to continue living. To continue breathing. To continue on their legacy through the powers you have gained.
Through loss comes power, and it is your power to keep.
